Delete your Makr account

You can delete your Makr account at any time, whenever you want. This page explains how, and what happens to your data.

How to delete your account

In the Makr app

1. Open Makr and go to Account settings.
2. Under Danger zone, tap Delete account.
3. Enter your password to confirm.

On the web

1. Log in to Makr.
2. Open Settings.
3. Under Danger zone, choose Delete account and enter your password to confirm.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, your profile, posts, and meetup history disappear from Makr right away, and you can no longer log in. We keep your data for 30 days in case you change your mind: if you ask us within that time, we can bring your account back. After 30 days, your account and the data linked to it are deleted automatically. If you want it erased sooner, email us at privacy@makr.today and we’ll remove it right away. Can’t log in?

If you can’t access your account, email us from the address you signed up with at privacy@makr.today with the subject “Delete my Makr account”, and we’ll take care of it.
