Terms of Use

Last updated: October 31, 2026

1. What Makr is

Makr is a social app for real-world creative meetups — sketching, painting, and similar activities. Every post you see is tied to a real meetup that actually happened, confirmed by at least one attendee. Makr is not the host of these meetups: crews and individual makrs organize them, and Makr only provides the app that connects people around them.

2. Who can use Makr

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By signing up, you confirm the information you provide (email, name, date of birth if collected) is accurate.

3. Your account

You’re responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password to yourself, and let us know at support@makr.today if you think someone else has access to it.

4. Content you post

You keep ownership of the photos and text you post. By posting, you give Makr a license to display that content within the app (feeds, meetup pages, crew pages, profile) — we don’t sell it or use it outside the app.

You agree not to post content that:

Any makr can report a post or a profile they believe breaks these rules (see in-app “Report”). We review reports and may remove content or restrict accounts that violate this policy.

5. Meetups happen in the real world

Makr connects people who may not know each other for in-person meetups. Makr does not run background checks on hosts or attendees, and does not supervise meetups. Use the same judgment you’d use meeting anyone new: meet in public places, tell someone where you’re going, and trust your instincts. Report any meetup, host, or attendee that makes you feel unsafe.

6. Blocking and reporting

You can block another makr at any time — this stops both of you from seeing each other’s profile, posts, or messages. You can report a post or profile that breaks these rules; reports are reviewed by our team, and we never share who reported what with the person reported.

7. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Account Settings inside the app. Your profile, posts, and meetup history disappear from Makr right away and you can no longer log in. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data after deletion.

8. Newsletter

We may send you the Makr newsletter if you choose to sign up. You can unsubscribe at any time from any newsletter email. More in our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. If a change is significant, we’ll let you know inside the app before it takes effect.
